Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to make donation for the reconstruction of areas affected by fires in Valparaíso

Learn about the donation that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will make for the reconstruction of parts of the Valparaíso Region. 

The contribution made by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the reconstruction of areas affected by fires in the Valparaíso Region was announced this morning. 

The donation consists of medical equipment for two ambulances of the Viña del Mar Health Service and 12 mobile health units. 

Details of the equipment to be donated by the church 

Six of the twelve health units that will be donated by the church are for the Viña del Mar Health Service and another six are for the Valparaíso Health Service. 

Each health unit consists of: 

  • Tents for a 30 square meter medical unit with thermal insulation and a mobile electrical system. 
  • Two folding tables.
  • Four folding chairs.  
  • Three folding beds. 
  • Two screens. 
  • One portable sink. 

The equipment for the two ambulances is to strengthen pre-hospital care in the Viña del Mar Health Service. 

This equipment consists of: 

  • One video laryngoscope. 
  • One portable ultrasound machine. 
  • One mechanical transport ventilator. 
  • One Neopuff. 
  • One multi-parameter monitor. 
  • 20 burn blankets. 
  • One transport defibrillator monitor. 
  • One pneumatic compression system.
