We begin replacement of 150 titles of ownership for families affected by fires

The National Assets Minister has announced the Emergency Title Regularization Plan.

A total of 150 titles of ownership have been provided to families in El Olivar affected by the fires in the Valparaíso Region.

According to National Assets Minister Marcela Sandoval, this provision is part of the Emergency Title Regularization Plan, which commits to the task of expediting the processing of titles of ownership for people affected by the fires.

The beneficiaries received the titles of ownership registered in the Real Estate Registrar, which will allow them to acquire ownership for two-year short-term possession.

This emergency title regularization process is an extraordinary measure that is free of charge, and will be carried out in a shorter time of a maximum eight months. The individuals must meet a series of requirements. The primary and exclusive condition is that they appear on the Basic Emergency File (FIBE), a survey carried out by the Social Development and Family Ministry.

“It is an opportunity to accelerate the process and reduce deadlines, so that the entire State can get to work among its different sectors. Because we can achieve this in a much more limited and faster way, so that all those who require it can be provided with the desired reconstruction,” Marcela Sandoval, National Assets Minister.

Once they have obtained their titles of ownership, people will be able to access various state aid in the form of emergency and housing subsidies.

How to access the title of ownership benefit?

This benefit is requested at the Valparaíso Regional Secretary’s Office (SEREMI) of the National Assets Ministry, with the following mandatory documentation:
