These are the details of the new Nuevo Pudahuel Airport T2-F terminal

Operations at the new terminal began today. It has six bridges and the capacity to receive up to 10 aircraft.

Nuevo Pudahuel continues to establish itself as one of the region’s most important airports, as operations began today at the new T2-F terminal. The terminal will add six boarding bridges with the capacity to receive 10 aircraft simultaneously.

This new milestone was presented by Public Works Minister Jessica López. She highlighted that it was possible to invest US$35 million in these important improvements thanks to a public-private alliance, in addition to a sectoral resource investment of US$30 million more.

This fourth boarding area for the International Terminal (T2), located in the extreme south-eastern section of Santiago Airport, has 22,000 m2 of floor space and six boarding bridges, four of which are double.

Construction of T2-F began in 2019, alongside work on the International Terminal’s (T2) different areas. Passengers will be able to access six new commercial premises, a lounge, Duty Free zone and a children’s play area. There will also be spaces for works of art.

Like the other buildings at Santiago Airport, T2-F has a design that pays tribute to one of Chile’s zones. In this case, the theme is Patagonia, which is expressed in the colors of the walls and carpets, a space with Selknam indigenous designs and children’s games that imitate the Torres del Paine.

The space follows the lineaments of the rest of the International Terminal project. It has large windows and hatches that allow natural light to enter, with a consequent saving in electricity consumption. It is also connected by central moving walkways that facilitate accessibility and are activated only when in use, in line with the project’s energy saving objectives.
