Shipment of more than 222,000 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 arrives in Chile

With this shipment, more than 40.36 million doses have entered Chile since the start of the vaccination campaign. 

A new shipment of 222,300 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 arrived in the country on Friday, October 29. A total of 11,582,390 vaccines have now been received from this pharmaceutical company. 

With this shipment, more than 40.36 million doses have entered Chile since the start of the vaccination campaign. 

These new doses will allow Chile’s National Vaccination Plan against SARS-CoV-2 to continue. 27,101,218 doses have been administered during the campaign to date. Of these, 14,038,118 correspond to people who have received a single dose and 13,634,230 to those who have completed their vaccination scheme. This is 92.35% and 89.69% of the target population, respectively. 

The new doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines that arrived in Chile today are being distributed nationwide, according to criteria established by the Health Ministry.
