Work to reconstruct the Viña del Mar National Botanical Garden

The proposal to reconstruct the Viña del Mar National Botanical Garden includes the formation of a Technical Working Group for Restoration, made up of public, private and civil society stakeholders and international organizations.

The Technical Working Group for Restoration will be responsible for developing a restoration plan with short, medium and long-term actions.

The actions will include a set of specific activities and measures to restore the affected ecosystems. They will prioritize the recovery of biodiversity, the restoration of natural habitats and the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure.

The technical working group will also be responsible for involving the local community, regional and national authorities, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, private companies and all those who want to provide a long-term commitment to conserving the National Botanical Garden and its natural resources.
