What is the aim of the Pro Security Cabinet?

The Pro Security Cabinet aims to:

• Improve the inter-ministerial security response.
• Continuously evaluate ongoing security measures, resolving critical issues.
• Strengthen state presence through preventive activities in places highly vulnerable to the influence of crime and drug culture.
• Strengthen coordination with regional governments and municipalities.

What does the government security strategy contain?

The security strategy of President Boric’s government is made up of five main areas:

• Strengthening institutions, starting with the police.
• Promoting organized crime and gun control policies.
• Controlling areas throughout Chile with concrete plans.
• Comprehensively reinforcing prevention measures.
• Reaching state agreements on security.
