Villa Santiago 2023 inaugurated by the President: This will be the future of the apartments

The village will be home to more than 6,000 athletes competing at the Pan American and Parapan American Games.

One of the legacies of the Pan American and Parapan American Games will be Villa Santiago 2023, a complex of four condominiums that will be used by athletes. Once the event is over, they will be given to 1,355 families as permanent housing.

President Gabriel Boric inaugurated today the apartment complex located in the municipality of Cerrillos. It includes 17 apartment blocks, as well as a kindergarten and spaces for gardens, play and commerce over 6.4 hectares (15.8 acres).

It will be one of the most emblematic sporting and urban legacies that Santiago 2023 will leave Chile. The president explained that the apartments will become home to families from Cerrillos and other municipalities in the Metropolitan Region. Thanks to Housing and Urban Development Ministry subsidies, they will be able to live in the future Ciudad Panamericana.
