President Piñera votes in referendum and issues a call for peace and unity: “We hope today will be a celebration of democracy, a peaceful election that makes us all proud.”

President Piñera cast his vote this morning in the municipality of Las Condes, where he encouraged the people to participate in the process: “I am telling all my compatriots that I feel very proud to be Chilean. I am asking them to come vote because their voice, their opinion is important to us and to everyone.”

Around 8:30 this morning, the President arrived at the San Francisco del Alba school, where he upheld his civic duty and, when finished, he said “we are betting on unity and not division, peace and not violence because only with unity and peace will we be able to help many, millions of Chileans solve their problems and, most of all, accomplish their dreams.”
