President Piñera participates in Latin American Leaders’ Forum on the COVID-19 pandemic

At the meeting, organized by the Chilean Government, the leaders discussed their countries’ experiences of the pandemic. They also identified good practices and common positions on the issue in order to come up with possible shared responses for international health organizations.

The President of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, participated this Friday in a meeting of Latin American leaders in order to share experiences about the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The attendees identified good practices and common positions on fighting the pandemic in order to come up with possible shared responses for international health organizations. 

The meeting, organized by the Chilean Government, was attended by the director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Carissa Etienne, Colombia’s Health Minister Fernando Ruiz Gómez, Ecuador’s Health Minister Ximena Garzón-Villalba, and Uruguay’s Health Minister Daniel Salinas. 

Alongside President Piñera, Health Minister Enrique Paris and presidential advisor Paula Daza represented Chile.
