So that citizens have transparent access to detailed information on the measures, all progress made and support provided by the government can be reviewed on the chileavanzando.cl platform.

The government celebrated nine months in power on December 11. Over this period, we have implemented more than 180 direct benefits to improve people’s quality of life; during the last month, we added 28 new measures and various updates to benefits that had already been delivered.

So that citizens have transparent access to detailed information on the measures, all progress made and support provided by the government of President Gabriel Boric can be reviewed on the chileavanzando.cl platform. People can also use it to check if they are eligible to access those benefits.

Among the new measures:

- We enacted the 2023 Budget Law. President Gabriel Boric enacted a budget in which we have increased public spending by 4.2%. It focuses on economic, citizen and social security, and will allow us to fulfil the commitments of the government program.

- In the area of security, we activated the new toll-free number Denuncia Seguro (Report Safely). The new number *4242 is available 24/7, and can be used to anonymously report a number of crimes.

- We have strengthened the work of the police by providing 236 new vehicles to Carabineros (Uniformed Police Service), which will reinforce their preventive work. It is part of a plan to recover 704 of the institution’s vehicles, and includes providing 146 radio patrol cars and 90 4x4 SUVs.

- We enacted the new Tax Debt Relief Law and Chile Apoya (Chile Supports) Guarantee Fund for Small-Scale Entrepreneurs (FOGAPE). The former will allow Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) to renegotiate tax debts owed with the General Treasury of the Republic (TGR) under exceptionally advantageous conditions. The latter will allow entrepreneurs to access state-guaranteed credits through the new FOGAPE Chile Apoya program.

- We launched programs to position Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in national and international marketplaces. These programs support small companies and cooperatives through knowledge transfer and the integration of good practices, so that they can access international marketplaces, such as Amazon, eBay or Walmart, as well as Chilean virtual markets.

- We launched the National Caregivers Registry, which is linked to the Social Households Registry. Those who are registered will receive preferential healthcare and different state services. A second stage offers the possibility of an exclusive selection of programs.

- We incorporated comprehensive healthcare for victims of acute sexual assault into the Explicit Health Guarantees (GES). This guarantees emergency primary care, immediate medical care, examination and treatment for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, and mental health support for victims.

- We inaugurated the new Carahue Hospital, which was long-awaited by the region. It will offer more dignified care, with greater access to technology. It also means a commitment to improving the provision of specialist services.

- We inaugurated a new condominium for the elderly in Ñuble. It is the second protected housing condominium in the region, joining the one that is already operating in Quillón. It contains 40 homes specially designed for the most vulnerable elderly people.

- We allocated military land to the construction of social housing in Lonquimay. After years of blocked negotiations, the government and the army signed an agreement for land previously managed by this branch of the armed forces to be used for social housing.

- We have allowed people to take bicycles on the entire Metro network on Sundays. The measure applies to all 136 Metro stations. The initiative aims to bring people out into the open air.

- The Public Works and Treasury Ministries announced the readjustment of contracts due to the rise in construction material costs. This measure will protect nearly 30,000 jobs throughout the country.

- We delivered 797 homes in Isla de Maipo, thanks to the collaborative work of nine housing committees led by women, who made the dream of 2,400 people come true by giving them their own home.

- We have made the artisan sector more professional, thanks to an agreement between the Cultures, Arts and Heritage Ministry, the Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación (UMCE), and the Unión Nacional de Artesanos (UNAR). We will offer a Pedagogical Skills for Artisans Diploma 2023, which will provide training and certification by formal institutions.

In addition to these measures:

- We enacted a law to allow pregnant women to work from home.

- We signed an agreement to reactivate the artisan sector. It will support 14 fairs and shows in 10 regions in November and December.

- We provided training courses on innovation tools for teachers.

- We provided a property to the Asociación de Municipios Rurales (Association of Rural Municipalities) to establish a center focused on supporting essential issues for rural municipalities.

- We financed two new environmental community projects on Rapa Nui, to develop community initiatives to contribute to the prevention and recovery of waste.

- We launched a campaign against gender-based violence. It was created through a participatory process, which enters into dialogue with communities to avoid these crimes.

- We launched the sixth version of the Energy Access Fund (FAE), which helps social organizations install photovoltaic or solar thermal solutions.

- We have promoted participation in the Red Cultura (Culture Network) program. It provides $932,817,487 Chilean pesos (US$1 million) to expand artistic programs and support cultural planning in 62 municipalities, as well as 10 associated projects in cultural spaces.

- We announced new investment projects in Tocopilla to recover public spaces and improve security in the area.

- We provided land for a new civic center in Mejillones.

- We launched the National Registry of Alimony Debtors, an electronic registry to coordinate various legal measures to expedite alimony payments.

- We updated the internal system to streamline procedures to regularize small-scale real estate.

- Santiago 2023 has joined the campaign to eliminate violence against women.

- The pottery of Quinchamalí and Santa Cruz de Cuca has been given important UNESCO World Heritage status. This recognizes all those generations of women who have transmitted their knowledge and allowed this valuable pottery to remain alive in Chilean culture for more than 200 years.
