New shipment of more than 387,000 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines lands in Chile

With this shipment, Chile has received more than 42,319,000 doses since the start of the vaccination campaign. 

A new shipment of vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 arrived in Chile on Thursday, November 18, with 387,270 doses of the formula developed by the Pfizer-BioNTech laboratory. A total of 13,540,800 vaccines have now arrived from this pharmaceutical company. 

With this shipment, the total number of COVID-19 vaccines that have entered Chile since the start of the vaccination campaign exceeds 42,319,000. 

The new doses will allow the National Vaccination Plan against SARS-CoV-2 to continue. To date, 27,344,237 doses have been administered, 14,148,523 of which correspond to people who have received a first and single dose, and 13,768,344 of which correspond to those who have completed their vaccination scheme. This is 93.08% and 90.58% of the target population, respectively. 

The new Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses that arrived today are being distributed throughout Chile according to Health Ministry criteria.
