This evening, Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Edgardo Riveros, participated along with the Ambassador of Germany to our country, Hans-Henning Blomeyer-Bartenstein, at the opening of the exhibition “United Buddy Bears,” organized by the German Embassy. The exhibition will be open to the public at Parque Bicentenario until June 19th.

This exhibition is part of the world tour of the United Buddy Bears, entitled, “We should know each other better… so we can better understand each other, trust more and live better,” and has already been featured in several world capitals with great success.

The installation of the bears – a symbol of the city of Berlin – that are each two meters tall, made of fiberglass and painted by artists from around the world, seeks to spread the message of tolerance and understanding of peoples, and encouraging a peaceful coexistence. The show in Santiago includes a painted bear by the national artist, Hernando León.
