Carolina Schmidt cursó sus estudios secundarios en el Colegio Villa María Academy. Luego se tituló de Ingeniero Comercial en la Universidad Católica de Chile.

Ha desarrollado una exitosa carrera en el ámbito privado, siendo gerente general y directora de diversas empresas. Adicionalmente ha apoyado el emprendimiento en Chile a través de su participación en Endeavor.

La inserción de la mujer en los diversos ámbitos de la sociedad chilena ha sido una preocupación suya permanente. Fue Consejera de Comunidad Mujer y, durante el mandato de la Presidenta Bachelet, fue miembro de la Comisión Familia y Trabajo, donde elaboró el documento “Relación Familia y Trabajo: Hacia una Nueva Realidad”, y del Consejo Asesor Presidencial para la reforma de las políticas de infancia, que dio origen al programa “Chile Crece Contigo”.

Carolina Schmidt nació en Santiago, es casada y madre de tres hijos.

Carolina Schmidt graduated from high school at the Villa María Academy and she obtained her Business Administration degree from the Universidad Católica de Chile.

Mrs. Schmidt has followed an outstanding career in the private sector as CEO and as a member of the board of several companies. In addition, she has encouraged entrepreneurial activities in Chile with her participation in Endeavor.

How women become involved in society in Chile has been her constant concern. She was a Counselor of Comunidad Mujer and, during President Bachelet’s government, she was a member of the Family and Work Commission where she prepared the document called Family Relations and Work: Toward a New Reality. She was also a member of the presidential advisory council for infant reform policies that gave rise to the program Chile Grows with You.

Carolina Schmidt was born in Santiago, she is married and the mother of three children.
